Army AFT Calculator
Army Fitness Test calculator: score all five AFT events, check the 350-point combat MOS standard, and plan your next score.
How the Army AFT is scored
This AFT score calculator applies the published Army Fitness Test (AFT) scoring scales. The test counts deadlift, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank, and the two-mile run. General-standard Soldiers need at least 300 total points and 60 in every event. Listed combat specialties use the male, age-normed table and need 350 total, also with 60 in every event.
A total alone does not establish a pass. If one event is below 60, the event minimum overrides the total. To see every threshold by age and sex, open the complete Army AFT score chart, or confirm your specialty in the AFT combat MOS standards list.
Once you have a passing record score, the Army promotion points calculator converts it for SGT and SSG promotion. Body composition is assessed separately; check your waist measurement with the Army body fat and WHtR calculator.

Questions about this tool
Can a high AFT total offset a failed event?
No. Each of the five events must reach 60 points. General scoring requires at least 300 total points; the combat standard requires 350. The result checks event minimums separately, so a strong run or deadlift cannot erase a failed push-up, plank, or sprint-drag-carry.
Why does selecting a combat MOS change female scoring?
The combat standard uses the male, age-normed scoring scale for the published combat specialties. The MOS field selects that standard when the code matches the archived Army list. Confirm the applicable assignment with your unit, especially when your entered code is not found in the published list.
Does the target panel guarantee a complete training plan?
The panel searches combinations of published thresholds that reach your target and meet every event minimum. It minimizes the sum of relative changes from your entered performances, then verifies the combined result. Training time and medical suitability are not predicted. Some targets are unreachable with the selected event options, such as a 300-point PFT using the capped push-up option.
What is saved when I use Squad Roster?
